Interfaith Chapel
10' tall x 60' long
This art glass commission separates a bustling hospital entry from the Chapel, a tranquil sanctuary. By using clear textured and white glasses-- very "light" materials by stained glass standards-- the glass wall accomplishes the difficult task of separating two architectural spaces while retaining a sense of airy openness within both. The glasses, which provide a delightful visual interest upon close viewing, also ensure privacy for those within the Chapel. The design theme of "life journey" provides a spiritual anchor to the piece, while its graceful flow provides a soothing artistic presence within the two-story atrium space.
